PENIS ENLARGEMENT : The average penis size
Posted at 11:42, 2008-Oct-7
Does PENIS size matters?Penis size represents important topic not just for men, but for women also. Men with small penises are obsessed because of their inch deficiency. Men with big penises are obsessed because they feel manlier and like better lovers. And men with average size penises dream about bigger penises, because no one likes to be average.
Small penis issues are very common among men. Although everyone believes that the biggest fear come from revealing your penis size to your partner, according to some researches, men are more concerned of being exposed as "tiny" among - men. This problem results with a feelings of low self-worth, feeling like less of a man than others.
What is average penis size?
Analysis of penis size research gives us following results:
- Average erect penis length falls between 5.5 and 6.4 inches (13 to 15.5 centimeters)
- Average erect penis girth falls between 4.7 and 5.2 inches (11.5 to 13 centimeters)
Many modern and ancient cultures have considered bigger to be better. Let's ask our selves, who wants to be average, especially when it is about penis size. Following these cultural points of view and mens desire for greater manhood, penis size obsession symptoms set off an industry that tries to answer the eternal question - Yes, size does matters. The result of this obsession is a wide range of penis enlargement methods and enlargement product groups ranging from the ridiculous to the simply reprehensible.
Partner story about penis size
We asked Lisa from San Diego about the penis size issues that she and her partner Bill encountered.
"I've met Bill 12 months ago and since then my life changed. I like him very much, and he's crazy about me too. We have so much in common and we are really happy. But I don't feel happy when we have sex. I can't feel his penis inside of me. His has a small penis and no matter how long he goes, I can't feel his penis inside of me, there is no contact with my clitoris. And not to hurt his feelings, I have to fake an orgasm. At first, I thought that it was problem in me, since we haven't knew each other so long. But with other partners, I had an orgasm within a couple of minutes. But his cock is so small, and I can't have an orgasm.
I'm really embarrassed saying these, but his penis is about 4 inch long and very thin. I like Bill very much, but this is very frustrating. I know that this is not the most important thing in a relationship, but I deserve to have good sex and to have orgasms. I am worried that he can't feel much either, which makes me feel like less of a woman with him. I don't know what other women do in this situation, but I'm confused and upset. This guy and I get along so well, and everything is so great, but the sex is so unsatisfying. What can I do?
Also, I'm really worried that he can't feel much either. It makes me feel like less of a woman when I'm with him. Really, I don't know what other women do in this situation. Bill and I get so well, we have so much in common, but the sex is unsatisfying."
The hardest part in this situation is that the partner must be able to tell him what the problem is. Imagine how difficult it is to tell your partner that you can't feel his penis during sex?
After this hard step, they can now talk about how Lisa can get sexual stimulation. There are penile extenders and small vibrators available in every sex shop or they can be bought online. Also, we can recommend longer foreplay, oral sex before and after intercourse motorcycles parts.
There are also more permanent techniques and methods. First option is surgery, but it's the most expensive and the most intrusive option. Most men would never willingly undergo surgery, nor should a woman ask for it. Everyone heard for mechanical enlargement techniques such as penis pumps and stretching rings. Using these devices it is possible to get some results, but in most of the cases it can weaken and tear the delicate tissue of the penis. So you can say, there is some doubt that these pumps can be effective.
Penis enlargement pills can have a great effect and can increase penis size. But since there are so many penis enlargement pills on the market, it's very important to research extensively to decide which pills to use. Cheap pills can give no results or even worse, they can result with serious side effects.
In the last few years some of the most popular methods are natural penis enlargement techniques and size extenders and stretchers. They can provide results, progress can be visible and there is no worry about side effects like with cheap and unproven penis enlargement pills.Ten Inches enlargement system is really the best option and represents top quality enlargement programs which changed many lives.
As you can see, size can make a difference, not only in terms of the quality of your sex life, but also in terms of the comfort of being involved in the relationship.

Penis size is among the greatest self-confidence battles that men deal with on a day to day basis. Approximately 90% of all men are either unhappy with their penis length, or their sexual performance. We ask ourself questions like:
- Is my penis long enough to satisfy my partner?
- What is the average penis size?
- How big is big enough?
Penis size can have both a physical and psychological effect on the initial degree of sexual excitement for some women. Depending on the psychological makeup of the woman, the effect of penis size can range from very little to fairly strong.
Lifestyles Condom Company's recent study indicates that the average length of an erect penis is 5.87 inches approx. This is slightly smaller than previous studies... most notably the Kinsey Study (from the Alfred C. Kinsey Institute for Sex Research) which concluded that the average erect penis length is between 6.2 to 6.4 inches (SEE GRAPH BELOW). This measurement is taken from the point where the penis meets the body (at the pubic bone).
Other studies had diverse results. Researchers from the University of California at San Francisco determined that the average erect size of the penis was 5.1 inches long and 4.9 inches in girth. A Brazilian study found the average length to be 5.7 inches and 4.7 inches in girth.
On the bright side (if you feel that you're "below average"), men whose penises are smaller when soft usually have a greater size increase than those with larger flaccid penises! The penises vary in size and shape... some are longer, shorter, wider, thinner. However, among erect penises than among soft ones there is much less variation.
Movie quotes
What about those infamous "penis myths"? One common myth needs to be put to rest: as well as any of the other things you might have heard of, penis size is unrelated to height; hand, feet or nose size;. penis size is sort of like nose size -- there are many very tall men with small noses and very short men with enormous ones. In reality, penis size is even less related to height than noses are. Only the hereditary factors of human being determine the penis size.
Penis size, penis size! Men give it so much importance. They are askin every time... "Is penis size Important?" It may depend on what specifically the penis is used for. Many women prefer large ones for oral sex, medium ones for vaginal sex, and small ones for anal sex. Which begs us to ask another question.... "Is penis size more important to you or to your lover"?

Leading penis panelists made lots of discovering in their respected fields: sex therapist, adult webmaster, psychiatrist... and much more. Most of all, we needed to know their views on non-surgical penis enlargement (a different "Expert Advice" feature will be available in the future, asking enlargement surgeons the same question... but this time strictly about surgical solutions of the penis enlargement problem).
The answers that we received are as follows:
Expert #1 (online sex therapist)
"You have to find a site that you trust. When there are so many sharks in the water, it's a very hard thing to do I suppose. Avoid poor imitations. Ask questions to the company if you need to do so. Don't strictly trust the sites that claim to 'double your penis size!' or something like that. Usually it simply doesn't happen at all." Neither does a 4" size increase!"
Expert #2 (enlargement web-forum moderator))
"Find a site or company that has researched their techniques in a proper way. Most of these sites don't even know what they're talking about. No difference for if you were buying a good self-help manual from the bookstore" it's better to spend your money on a site that offers a lot of valuable information at a reasonable cost to you...
Expert #3 (consulting firm associate)
"You mustn't pay a lot of your attention to the sites offering online video tutorials or so. These videos are supposed to show you how penis enlargement exercises work. But, often they're nothing but cheap-looking masturbating men gif animations. Pictures and diagrams aren't always helpful either. What confuses the whole process is that sometimes the photos display something completely different from what the instructions say. But event if that's something really important, you could find a couple of sites that offer some worthwhile videos and pictures."
Expert #4 (urology technician)
"First of all think of your personal health and safety. If you're seriously considering penis enlargement or are experiencing abnormal penis growth, it's a good idea to consult your own urologist or physician."
Expert #5 (online medical expert)
"Try to do your own research if you are skeptical of enlargement programs you have found. Try any solutions... surgery, pumps, weights, exercises. Even if they not all work, you will be at least well-informed."
Expert #6 (writer for Men's Health Magazine)
"Sites claiming to cure Peyronie's Disease or other serious penile conditions are not to be trusted! Peyronies is a serious disorder that should be treated strictly by a physician. By attempting to straighten your penises using enlargement exercises, you could worsen the disease condition. One of the men who tried to improve but has worsen the situation is in agony most of the time, and the other man ended up having major surgery on his penis."
Expert #7 (Editor, adult website newsletter)
"Deal with the more reputable companies who express an interest in seriously helping you get results. These are the ones that look after their customers and are more likely to help you achieve penis growth. That's just good business practice."
An erection is a complex event that requires the interaction of the brain, nerves, hormones, and blood vessels. The two erectile bodies in the penis (Corpora Cavernosa) begin at the pelvic bone and extend to just below the head of the penis. They are spongy tissue made up of smooth muscle and blood vessels.
These chambers are a collection of blood vessels which become swollen with blood during sexual arousal. While the penis is not sexually aroused, the penile chambers are open and allow for the flow of blood through the filling chambers. When sexual arousal occurs, these chambers remain open, except the exit gates close. Once closed the blood that remains in the penis results in an erection. Most penis enlargement formulas contain natural herbs known to increase blood flow resulting in larger, firmer and more powerful erections.
Penis enlargement is a huge industry. The internet is saturated with sites claiming to "add inches" to any man. There are countless products available.... pills, pumps, stretchers, liquids, weights, creams, and ointments. Penile enhancement surgery has never been more popular. And banner ads for natural enlargement techniques- those "Ancient Methods" you've heard so much about - can be found on almost every single adult website.
It's fair to say that penis enlargement is not just a "passing fancy". As long as men have dicks, there will forever exist the desire to make 'em bigger. In a recent poll, the question was posed to men, "If you could change one physical feature about yourself, what would it be?" An astounding 54% responded "Penis Size". The eternal quest for the Almighty Sausage. It never ends.
Which brings us to Penis Enlargement Magazine. This online publication was created to fulfill a need. Given the vast amount of information floating around out there on the subject... much of it true, much of it false... we simply wanted to assemble every bit of data on penis enlargement that we could find. Media reports, articles, medical opinions, news stories, case studies, testimonials, opinions and facts. We wanted to present original feature stories and intriguing guest columns. We wanted to include product reviews and editorials. We wanted our readers to have access to hundreds of links to penis enlargement-related websites.
In short, we wanted to create the "Ultimate" resource for information on Penis Enlargement. A magazine to be updated periodically. A magazine to enlighten, entertain... and help enlarge!
We should also add that in the interest of "free speech", many of the features and editorials in this magazine are contributed by people not directly associated with this publication. Opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the editor or owner of Penis Enlargement Magazine.
Afterall, we're all men. Men with dicks. Be proud!

What is a micropenis?
Many men are insecure about the size of their penis and most of the time these worries are unfounded. But a small minority of men suffer from a condition known as micropenis. As the name obviously suggests micropenis is the condition where a man has an extremely small penis.
Micropenis is defined as being 2.5 or more standard deviations than the mean penis size. This means if your penis size is less then 3.5 inches then you probably have a micropenis. The term Micropenis is usually used for men where the rest of the sexual organs are properly developed and are of normal size.
The condition is usually caused by abnormal hormone levels during foetal development in particular reduced androgen levels have been seen to cause malformed sexual organs. If the condition is diagnosed early enough the child can be placed on a hormone treatment program where hormones such as testosterone are injected into the penis but this rarely produces normal results. Surgical techniques have been developed to help lengthen the penis but these are not successful enough to be considered a viable solution so is therefore rarely practiced especially on children.
If you think you may have a micropenis your best bet is to talk to your local doctor. They will be able to give you a definitive answer or at least send you to the appropriate specialists.
Micropenis is extremely rare, only 0.6% men suffer from it. So next time you wish you had a bigger penis just think how lucky you are you don’t have a micropenis.
Getting Started
For those of you who are just starting to know about penis enlargement things can look very difficult and also suprising. Many of you must be wondering "Is it really possible to enlarge my penis using non-surgical methods?". Well the answer is yes it is possible. And you have probably seen hundreads of ads for various products that "guarantee " results right?
Well the first thing you need to understand is that from the thousands of products advertised that claim they can increase your penis size , only a dozen of them will actually help you to grow the penis. This is the mindset you should have regarding penis enlargement: Most products are simply scams and are only after your hard earned money...
Single method options like Penis Developers ( penis exercises and penis devices that are known for expanding the tissue) or Growth Stimulants (like penis pills or patches know for increasing the blood flow to the penis and hence enlarging it ) are a good start but for those of you who are really determined and want to maximize your end results , a combination approach of both Penis Developers and Growth Stimulants should be used. The goal of a combination regimen is to stimulate healthy cell growth in the walls of the chambers (Penis Developers) and the blood flow to the chambers (Growth Stimulants).
Keep in mind that there are no hard and fast rules with which to use. This is only our recommendation. Some people use Growth stimulants to enhance the penis. Others use growth stimulants only as a complement to their routine. Its up to you.
The way the device works is to stretch the penis over time, the actual science is not very difficult to follow. If you stretch something over a large time period your body will adjust to the stretching and this in our case results in a better sized penis. The medical description if your interested is below:
The devices are composed of a plastic ring connected to two dynamic metal rods, a plastic support and a silicone band that holds the glans in place. They can be worn sitting, standing, or even walking.
The device applies a traction force of 600 to 1500 grams on the penis for continued periods of time. This traction vector is situated on the penis axis. Such traction creates an adaptative reaction of the penile tissue components at the structural level, with an increase in cellular multiplication.
This bodily adaptation translates into the following incredible benefits:
At microscopic level:
At macroscopic level:
The same traction principle is applied by the giraffe women of Birmania.
Penis stretcher devices or penis extenders are designed to apply continuous stretching force, known as "traction", to the penis in order to permanently lengthen and enlarge it.Penis stretcher device applies traction by means of adjustable, calibrated bars between an anatomically curved base that fits comfortably at the root of the penis, and a surgical-grade band that slips off the head of the penis.
As can be seen from the photo, the device fits at either end of the penis and creates a gentle expansion by safely applying calibrated, continuous pressure by means of a system of expandable bars. You can easily set the pressure and decide the amount of force you wish to apply.Begginers should not set the maximum force right away and the first 2 or 3 weeks you should see how your body adapts to the device and dont use it for more than 4 hours per day.
This stretching opens up spaces between penile cells, and triggers a growth or healing response in the body, in which adjacent cells begin to divide and fill in the space. With continued use, the growth can number in the millions of new cells, significantly adding size and tissue to the penis.
Most of the devices on the Internet are doctor approved however some are not, the products listed on this site are ALL doctor approved and I would strongly urge that if you are to buy a penis enlargement device that is not listed on this site you get some medical evidence that the products are approved and even recommended by doctors.
Over the history of medical treatment, traction is well-known and documented. It is widely used to help with healing after surgery, injury, trauma or burns. Penis traction device is a medically approved. In fact, it is used in hundreds of clinics and hospitals worldwide to treat penis related problems.
Simply put, traction means stressing tissues by gradual stretching, and then allowing the body to rebuild itself naturally. One example of medical treatment using traction principle is mastectomy patients, who require expansion of the skin and muscle in the chest prior to reconstructive surgery.
Another example is penis enlargement surgery patients, who employ traction to help heal, strengthen, and straighten the penis. Burn patients can also create their own skin grafts by means of traction which stretches or enlarges an area of tissue prior to transplant.
When using the device, your sexual potency is, in fact, improved. Erections get stronger due to the increased cell activity and blood flow created by the device. The use of the device does not cause pain because it is adjusted accordingly to the size of penis and its growth. If the instructions are followed properly, wearing the device is completely painless.Penis Erection and Aging
Dinner was appetizing, kissing was luscious, her scent was inviting, and the foreplay was stimulating. But when it came to showing her just who the man is, the little soldier remains in hiding.
Well there comes a time in every man's life where he must come to grip with the fact that little johnny is sometimes shy. This is the time where a man's self-esteem is most vulnerable.
Erection problems are vastly common among adult men. In truth, nearly all men experience occasional difficulty getting it hard or maintaining it. In several cases, it is a temporary condition that will go away with little or no treatment at all. While in others, it may be an ongoing problem that may eventually damage a man's self esteem and harm his relationship with his partner. Thus immediate treatment is required.
So just how would you know if you have a problem? Well if you have difficulty either having or keeping an erection for over 25% of the time, then it is a problem. At one time, erection problems were thought to be "all in the man's mind," just like women's PMS. Oftentimes, they receive unhelpful advice such as "don't worry" or "just relax and it will take care of itself." Doctors nowadays believed that when the problem is not temporary or do not go away on its own, physical factors are often the cause.
Erection problems, commonly known as erectile dysfunction or impotence refers to a man's inability to achieve satisfactory erections suitable for sexual intercourse. This is common to about 25% of the male population. Men who are experiencing repeated impotence tend to be middle aged men, mostly common at the age of 60. The problem may derive from a variety of causes, but aging is the most remarkable factor in erectile dysfunction associated to the decrease in male hormones. For about 20% of sufferers the problem is psychological. While one third is due to physically related diseases and the remainder is the combination of both causes.
In the past few years, the medical community had been committed to enhancing treatments for erectile dysfunction through a wide range of alternatives. But how should a man with erectile dysfunction is treated in this age of vacuum pumps, penile injection, medication and prostheses?
Just like in any other ailment, when a person begins having this problem continually, physical examinations is the first step in the treatment process. This is done to rule out injury, side effects from medicine or diseases and disorders such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney disease, alcoholism, or multiple sclerosis.
A considerable part of the evaluation includes a detailed patient history that can give the doctor virtual clues regarding the patient's condition and the severity of the condition. Treatments should be tailored to the individual, with the severity and cause taken into consideration. Common treatments include medications, vacuum devices and surgery. Prescription medications such as Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis are commonly prescribed, as well as other options such as vacuum devices and surgery.
Vacuum are non-drug options. This is a device which creates a vacuum around the penis that draws blood into the penis and allows it to engorge, thus causing an erection.
Surgery can be performed in order to restore blood flow to the penile area if the vasculature (blood vessels) to the area is compromised. However surgeries have fallen out of favor in recent years because of the possible risk of infection due to such invasive procedures.
There are also instances when patients are advised to receive some form of psychotherapy to help alleviate their condition. Psychological therapy and behavior alterations are other options to treat erectile dysfunction. This process targets to alleviate the psychological factors that may have caused the disorder.
The age-old question, "Does size matter?" has been debated for eons. Both men and women alike are interested to know what really gives. Men are obsessed with the size of their penis and many have found ways to make their member larger. That's why the penis enlargement industry is booming offering everything -- from cream, pills, patches, weights, traction devices, and even surgery. The media and the overly-hyped stories of 'well-endowed' men have undoubtedly contributed to the already convoluted subject of penis size.
Men with larger organs are regarded to be more manly and better in bed. Thus, "Bigger is better" has become a popular adage. Furthermore, this insight seems to emanate from male vanity rather than the pleasure that your penis can provide. A small penis is equated to diminished masculinity, virility, and at times, also associated to impotency.
But, in fact, most researches have revealed that the average penis size is not the 12" advertised by porn stars. Besides, these porn stars are not representative of the average man. They may very well be more well-endowed than you (this is their luck) or have undergone some enlargement procedure. The average penis size is actually between 5.5 to 6.4 inches in erect length and 4.7 to 5.2 inches in girth.
But countless women have agreed that the length of the penis has not much to do with sexual pleasure; but width may indeed matter in the long run. It has to do with stimulating their G-spot which is supposed to be located about two inches inside the upper wall of the vagina.
The nerves that are stimulated during sexual intercourse are located near the entrance of the vagina and the anus. Penis girth is significant here since a meatier penis can stretch out the vaginal or anal walls that stimulate the nerves. This creates friction and sensation that most women love during a sexual experience.
Anyway, preference is still based on the individual woman. Because of the points highlighted above, many women have a penchant for larger dicks. But remember, it's not only a big penis women crave. They seek passion, intimacy and emotional connection. Remember to show her your love by giving her flowers, a sensual massage, or candles with rose petals. Assault her senses with romantic gestures and you'll be well rewarded. If you have a girthy penis, you'll be rewarded even more.
Experiment on different sexual positions and incorporate toys in your love-making. Identify her key erogenous zones (i.e., her clitoris) and come up with techniques to stimulate her -- with your tongue, vibrator, fingers, etc.
Penis size is important but it's also the combination of skill, passion and romance. After all, sex is as much fun as you make it.
